You may need PDF viewing software
There are a number of documents on this website that are available in Portable Document Format (PDF). To download and view these documents you need PDF viewer software.
Below are instructions for downloading and installing Adobe Reader software.
Downloading Adobe Reader
The latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader is available free of charge to anyone that wishes to use it to view PDF (Portable Document Format) files.
This can be found on the Adobe website.
Make sure you download the right file for your operating system.
Your browser will ask you to save the file. You should retain the existing name and put it in a directory on your C drive (hard drive) - for example, c:\downloads. The download might take a while, depending on the speed of your connection.
Once the download is complete, you have to install it.
Installing Adobe Reader
The installation instructions below are for a Windows operating system.
For other operating systems see the 'Download and Installation Help' section of the Adobe website.
To install the downloaded Adobe Reader software, either:
- double-click on the file from inside Windows Explorer or File Manager, or
- use the Add/Remove Programs feature of Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(Start > Settings > Control Panel or Start > Control Panel in XP).
Once installed, delete the downloaded file in the temp directory as this is no longer required and will just take up space on your hard drive (although you could keep it as a backup).
